The NSW Fiji Rugby Union deeply values the development of our internal leadership whilst encouraging accountable governance throughout our operations. In August 2016, NSWFRU engaged external consultants from the QORE Group Pty. Ltd, to provide assistance for corporate governance and developing a marketing strategy through events and merchandise. This includes the establishment of NSWFRU board of directors to oversee the organisation.
All positions to the Board of Executive Directors are not restricted to those of Fijian heritage or ethnicity. NSW Fiji Rugby Union are proud to encourage and support diversity and strategic thinking amongst our leadership and membership. In April 2017, the NSWFRU Board met for their first meeting. Preceding this meeting, all coaches and operations staff met with the Board to set the NSWFRU strategic plans.

NSWFRU’s vision is to be the vale (house), where Fijian talented diaspora athletes will excel. Our vale equips our members with a platform for higher endeavours. Our vaka-viti (Fijian way) supports holistic spiritual, coaching, and sports development programs that are uniquely tailored to our membership needs and aspirations, ensuring that our membership success is our success, as a wider thriving diaspora community.
The New South Wales Fiji Rugby Union (NSWFRU), is an incorporated association, established in August 2016. We are a not-for-profit body solely set up to operate independently within the scope of its mandated work.
Our vast and diverse membership combines community individuals, organisations, as well as players of Fijian heritage working and living in New South Wales including the ACT.
